Hard Hat Tour

Take an extended tour of Corinthian Hall with Interim Museum Director Denise Morrison. For two hours, visitors will examine 100 year-old craftsmanship, see the ornate Salon and Library and view exquisite stained glass windows designed by Henry Hoit.

Visitors above the age of 12 only. Visitors on the tour must wear closed-toed shoes and capably negotiate uneven floor surfaces.

A charming new musical based on the award-winning book by Sonia Manzano who plays Maria on Sesame Street. The music is composed by Stephen Lawrence with lyrics by Bill Aronson. Iris, a young Puerto Rican girl who narrates the musical, tells about a car trip she made with her large funny extended family for a day at a state park. Although her Papi says she cannot bring El Exigente, her dog, she sneaks him in the car. After car trouble where everyone has to pitch in to get started again, they arrive at the park. and it has a big sign that says “NO DOGS ALLOWED!” What to do? This wonderful family just makes the best of the situation and takes turns playing outside the park with El Exigente while each family member gets to do what they had planned.

Drawing inspiration from the uniquely dynamic physical and emotional realms in which we all dwell, members of the City in Motion professional dance company, along with guest choreographers David Ollington and Suzanne Ryan-Stratti, have crafted a powerful, thought provoking and moving collection of choreographic works portraying the intricacies and complexities found in both the individual and collective human experience. Exploring the seemingly chaotic rhythms and patterns found in our inner and outer worlds, this performance promises to influence, intrigue and even ignite.

The famous Prince Street Players comic version of the beloved fairytale is presented with great music and costumes and humor. It follows the familiar traditional English tale of Prince Charming having a royal ball in order to meet the ladies of the kingdom. Of course, Cinderella’s nasty stepmother and stepsisters won’t let her go. A fairy godmother saves the day with a beautiful dress, glass slippers, and a lovely coach to get her to the ball. Prince Charming falls in love with Cinderella, much to the disappointment of the stepfamily. However, he must travel the kingdom to find the foot that fits the slipper that Cinderella left behind. All ends well with Cinderella trying on the slipper and they live happily ever after. They even take the silly stepfamily with them to the palace!
