Mummies of the World is the largest exhibition of real mummies and related artifacts ever assembled, presenting a never before seen collection of naturally and intentionally preserved human and animal mummies. This compelling collection, presented with reverence and dignity, includes ancient mummies from South America, Europe, and ancient Egypt, dating as far back as 4,500 years. Trombone Christmas Kansas City

2017 marks the inaugural year of Trombone Christmas Kansas City held in the Grand Plaza at historic Union Station! Trombone Christmas Kansas City is Saturday, December 16, 2017.

The Trombone Christmas Kansas City Concert was founded by Dr. Frank Perez and Mr. William Biggs in 2017 and is presented to promote and encourage the fellowship and musicianship of trombone players through the performance of Christmas Music. Participation in the concert is open to trombone players of all ages and experience levels. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned trombonist, we hope that you will join us! Help us meet our goal of having a massed trombone choir of over 150 participants!

Registration is $10 for each participant.
Participants should plan to bring their trombone and a music stand. Sheet music will be provided by Meyer Music. Participants will have option of purchasing their own copy of the official Trombone Christmas part book for $20 if they wish.

The Art of the Brick

The Art of the Brick features 100 incredible works of art made out of millions of Lego® bricks from contemporary artist Nathan Sawaya. A captivating exhibition, featuring intriguing works of art made exclusively from one of the most recognizable toys in the world is designed to inspire ingenuity and creativity. The Art of the Brick is the world’s largest and most elaborate display of LEGO art. The massive collection features original pieces as well as re-imagined versions of some of the world’s most famous art masterpieces like Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa as well as a gallery showcasing an innovative, multimedia collection of LEGO brick infused photography produced in tandem with award-winning photographer Dean West. Visitors will have the opportunity to get up-close and in-person with the fan favorite, Yellow, a life-size sculpture of a man ripping his chest open with thousands of yellow LEGO bricks cascading from the cavity.
